Bellingham Full Body Massage at Prime Sports Institute
Prime Sports Institute offers Bellingham full body massage from licensed massage therapists in downtown Bellingham. Instead of focusing on one area, a full body session covers you from head to toe, giving your whole body attention in a single visit.
This page explains what a full body session includes, how it flows, which session length to choose, and how to book. For an overview of every massage we offer, start at our Bellingham massage page.
What a Full Body Massage Covers
A full body massage works through your whole body in one appointment, typically your back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet. The point is scope. You get one complete session, not a single problem area.
That makes full body a natural fit when you want overall recovery, relaxation, or general wellness rather than targeted treatment of one spot. It is also a good starting point if this is your first massage, or your first time at Prime, because it gives your therapist a picture of how your whole body is carrying tension.
Choose Your Session Length
Session length matters most for a full body massage, because covering everything takes time.
30 Minute Massage: Not long enough for full body coverage. It is best when you cannot wait and need to treat an acute injury or acute pain in one area.
60 Minute Massage: Our standard choice for a full-body massage experience. It lets your practitioner address both primary and secondary complaints.
90 Minute Massage: The most complete option. It may include an orthopedic and musculoskeletal evaluation with measurements, allowing more detailed techniques for your primary complaints and compensations. Your practitioner takes extra time to recommend self-care strategies and build a more thorough, customized plan for recovery.
How Your Session Flows
Every session is provided by a licensed massage therapist. Before hands-on work begins, our team takes ample time to understand your needs, so your session is built around your specific needs and individual needs. Tell your therapist about the physical symptoms you are noticing, any muscle stiffness, and how you want to feel afterward.
From there, your therapist works through your whole body, adjusting pressure and pacing as you respond. We take a holistic approach focused on your overall comfort and nervous system support, paying close attention to each client's nervous system throughout. Clear communication runs through the whole session, and your comfort stays a high priority from start to finish.
Many clients describe a full body session as the best experience of their week: complete body work that leaves them with deep relaxation and a rejuvenating massage, plus less overall muscle tension.

Schedule Your Full Body MassageChoose Your Style of Full Body Massage
A full body session can take different forms depending on your goal. Our skilled therapists draw from a wide range of massage techniques, and you can ask for the type of massage that suits you:
Swedish massage, when you want a relaxing session. The goal of Swedish massage is comfort and stress relief, using lighter pressure.
Hot stone massage, with soothing hot stones for extra warmth and relaxation.
Prenatal massage and pregnancy massage options for expecting clients.
Sports massage, for athletes and active individuals who want whole-body recovery and want to stay at the top of your game.
Deep tissue work folded into your full body session wherever you need more pressure.
Your therapist may also use myofascial release, which addresses the connective tissue around the muscle, where it helps. Each of these styles has its own page with the full details. See our Bellingham massage therapy page for every session type.
Who Full Body Massage Is For
Clients often book a full body massage for:
Overall recovery after a hard training week
General relaxation and stress relief
Ongoing maintenance massage sessions
Chronic pain, back pain, and tension spread across more than one area
Injury recovery, once you are ready for whole-body work
Our therapists' bios show the range. Kristina Zographos focuses on whole-body wellness and cohesion within the musculoskeletal system, and her clients look for improved range of motion, a reduction in pain or muscle stiffness, lower stress, or a quicker bounce-back after a grueling training session. Thom Mooney provides customized treatment for recovery, relaxation, pain relief, functional improvement, maintenance, and overall general wellness.
Regular full body sessions help you maintain top condition and protect your quality of life. Less time sore means more of your free time goes to the activities you love, instead of spending time waiting for your body to catch up.
Full Body, Deep Tissue, or Trigger Point?
Each has its own page:
Full body covers your whole body in a single session. That's this page.
Deep tissue massage reaches the deeper layers of muscles in the areas that need it. See Bellingham deep tissue massage.
Trigger point massage uses trigger point therapy to target specific trigger points and the pain they refer elsewhere. See Bellingham trigger point massage.
For injury-focused care with HSA and SuperBill details, see Bellingham medical massage.
Meet Our Massage Practitioners
Our massage practitioners include graduates of the Whatcom Community College Massage Therapy program, each bringing years of experience to their massage practice and their massage therapy work. Browse our Bellingham massage therapists page to read their approaches and find the right match.
Pair It With Recovery
Because Prime is a sports medicine clinic, your full body massage can connect to the rest of your care under one roof. Our training room includes NormaTec compression, hot and cold contrast tubs, a FAR infrared sauna, and a Compex unit, which is designed to help increase blood flow to fatigued muscles. If your needs call for a physical therapist, physical therapy services at Prime are provided by Precision PT.
