Our Coaching Team
Jerrod Lee, CSCS
Strength and Conditioning Coach
At Prime, I serve as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Seeing people progress physically and mentally is such a rewarding feeling as a coach. I try to have two separate philosophies when it comes to coaching. For programming, my goal is to deliver a stimulus to create adaptations that meet the needs of the given sport. I am adaptable and specific with the prescription I give to each of my athletes. For coaching, my core value is belief. I work with a positive demeanor with the goal of the athlete believing in themselves and in my plan. If an athlete is more confident in the physical attributes of their sport then they are put in a position to succeed.
I received my bachelor’s in social sciences with a minor in Strength and Conditioning from Washington State University, where I competed in track and field - primarily in the Shotput. I grad-transferred to WWU to pursue a masters in Kinesiology which I am currently finishing. I currently hold USAW-level 1, and the CSCS certifications. I am a national level powerlifter and have been competing since my throwing career ended. I also have a deep love of golfing.
Sol Dehnert
Strength and Conditioning Coach
Hi, I’m Sol! I’m thrilled to join the Prime Sports Institute team as a strength coach. I’m excited to work
with individuals of all abilities and backgrounds—whether you’re looking to build some strength and
muscle mass, improve mobility, or hone your competitive edge in your sport, I’d love to help.
As a strength and conditioning professional, my background in applied exercise science and
sports performance helps others achieve their goals through exercises that effectively target key
attributes specific to their needs. Whether it’s restoring functional ability, improving physical health,
or pursuing high-performance outcomes, I am deeply passionate about improving individual
development. I place a strong emphasis on addressing functional deficits and enhancing proficiency
by implementing training protocols grounded in evidence-based methods, rather than trends.
I earned a B.S in Kinesiology with a specialization in Exercise Science from Western Washington
University. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Kinesiology at the same, where I also serve
as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Strength and Conditioning Assistant. My diverse background
gives me the foundation to help clients of all kinds achieve their performance and functional goals.
Since moving to Bellingham in 2021, I have become deeply invested in the outdoor culture of this
town. In my free time, I love playing golf and snowboarding up at Mt. Baker as much as I can.
