Prime is one of the first athletic trainer-owned clinics in the country. An athletic trainer is a certified and licensed health care professional who provides injury prevention services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. ​​Knowledgeable, professional, innovative, team player with 17 years of experience providing health care to patients in the physical therapy, high school, Division I college athletic settings, and professional athletes. Community-focused individual who focuses on creating an individualized experience for clients.

ATHLETIC TRAINING SESSIONS

During these sessions we will work on functional exercises and stretches personalized specific to your needs.

  • 45 minute session - $75            
  • 60 minute session - $90

NOTE: If you're a new client, schedule an initial 60-minute session that will include an evaluation using orthopedic and musculoskeletal tests.

COMBINATION SESSION:    Massage & Athletic Training

Combine Massage plus athletic training for a complete session to get to the root of the problem and correct muscular and strength imbalances.  You will feel relief from your symptoms and progress right away.  

  • 60 min massage + 45 min athletic training: $165

​My name is Matthew Pettersen, I recently have moved to Bellingham and have been hired on the Prime Sports Institute team as an Athletic Trainer. I graduated from Washington State University receiving a bachelors of science in Athletic Training and a minor in Psychology. I have my certification for Athletic Training and my license to practice within Washington State.
